NATIONAL CONFERENCE FULL OF MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS

Calling all maintenance engineers, maintenance managers, engineering managers and production managers. Is your maintenance management giving you a pain in the butt? Are you struggling to deal with maintenance in the global recession? Do you need to downsize your workforce, reduce maintenance spending or justify your existence?

Are your tradesmen a bunch of grumpy old men who’s only function in life appears to be to frustrate you and your operation? Are you struggling to overcome ingrained attitudes when you need to change the way maintenance is achieved?

Are you confident that you are informed on topics like health and safety, HASNO or statutory compliance? What are the ‘experts’ saying about the best methods for maintaining plant? What new innovations are going to help you run your plant smarter, more reliably and cheaper?

Do you need to explore transparent maintenance management, change your culture or inspire your team?  Does your maintenance function need to turn from a reactionary deadwood to a proactive and professionally managed contributor to your operation?

If any of these topics strike a nerve for you, your customers, or your employer, then you need to be at the Maintenance Engineering Society’s 2009 NATIONAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING CONFERENCE at Wairakei in November 2009.

The National Maintenance Engineering Conference, like the society itself, stands for solutions. Whether through networking, displays or expert advice, the annual conference seeks to bring experience based solutions to engineers in industry. The reality is, if you have a problem, you can guarantee someone else already has the solution. Engineers love solutions, and there is no better place to find someone with a solution to your problem then at Wairakei in November.

Squeezed between the opening address from the Hon. Anne Tolley, Minister of Education and the closing presentation on the seriously inconvenient truth on global warming by international author, Ian Wishart, this year attendees will hear expert and peer advice on every aspect of the modern maintenance engineering world.

The National conference, easily the cheapest 2 day event in industry will be held at the Bayview Wairakei (Taupo) on November 11/12 2009. The two day conference based around the theme of “Re-Engineering Your Maintenance to Survive the Global Recession” features a well proven measure of holistic maintenance management papers presented by experts, industry providers and peers. The 2009 event, which sees the return of event sponsor Hydac, will continue this well proven and popular format with thought provoking papers on preventative maintenance, health and safety, human resources, energy efficiency, engineering and employment law.

The $680 +GST pp attendance fee strikes a nerve with engineers, normally prevented from attending comparable 2 day events by costs far in excess of this amount. You won’t get better  bang for your buck anywhere else for such an inspiring and informative event. Exhibitors too, will be pleased with the opportunity to get in touch with engineers over the 2 day event and the pre-conference Trade Expo.
